DOMINIC'S POSSE & SMILES FOR SIENNA
Dominic was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when he was 3 ½ years old in 2011. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia(CHOP) oversaw his treatment from the day he was diagnosed. Dominic went through 3 plus years of chemotherapy treatment at CHOP both in-patient and out-patient. Today, Dominic is 10 years old and cancer free. He is a very normal 5th grade student who excels academically. He plays baseball, basketball, enjoys video games, and reading books. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia continues to oversee Dominic and will continue to monitor some of the long term effects of his various chemotherapy treatments.
CHOP is one of the leading medical institutions in the world when it comes to pioneering advanced less-toxic therapies for pediatric cancer. They need outside funding to continue to discover these advanced treatments. These new and advanced treatments will give kids around the world a better chance of surviving this disease. They are also at the forefront of new immunotherapy treatments for childhood cancers that are revolutionizing how to treat various pediatric cancers. Please read more about what CHOP does at the link below and also learn how you can contribute to Dominic’s wish of curing all childhood cancers.
